Who were Essenes ? Who was a Jesus?

This work tries to answer these questions through a lived testimony. Indeed, the authors propose us the result of a reading in Akashic Records (Memory of the Universe).

The reader participates in the progress of the daily life of the essene community in the Evangelic Times.

This testimony shines of a new light of the surprising events held carefully hidden for 2000 years.

 The Essenes... many a time those on the path to self-questioning have come across this still rather mysterious name. Ever since the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it has been mentioned the world over, arousing many questions left unanswered.

Who were the Essenes ? In spite of the most recent work carried out by archaeologists, theologists and antropologists, officially so far, relatively little is known about their origins, their way of life and their teachings.

There is talk of a religious sect, with wich the name of Jesus is often associated. But to what extent is this accurate ? This book is an attempt to answer these questions - to begin to answer them, rather - for the field is vast.

The following chapters do not represent an historical writing, but an account of events truly experienced. They are not the result of a compilation of research documents ; in fact, no research whatsoever entered into the authors' work.

The rational mind, of course, denies that the past can be investigated in ways other than those relevant to the traditional methods of historical enquiry. And yet... os it rational to impose limits on the new horizons wich, nowadays, chalenge mankind as a whole ? Aren't the frontiers of what we used to think "impossible" endlessly receding ?

We do not pretend to any revolutionary discovery in our approach to writing about the past.

This account was based on a technique handed down by the ancient Egyptians and the Himalayan mystics. It is the fruit of a patient reading of the Akashic Records.

The Akashic Records migth be said to represent the memory of the Universe. The word Akasha is a Sanskrit term referring the one of the constituents of the natural wolrd, the other ones being the Earth, Water, Fire and Air. According to ancient tradition, it is an infinitely subtle substance, a form of energy in wich the Universe bathes, and wich is capable of storing the visual and auditive memory of all life. Akasha is something like the photographic plate of the Universe, or to use a more modern metaphor, a natural video tape, wich may, i certain circumstances, reveal the "memory of the past".

The consultation of these Records took place beyond the confines of our world, through a series of "astral journeys". Astral travel is in no way a spontaneous phenomenon of clairvoyance, but involves a long and demanding preparation, and individual process of a spiritual nature. It would be pointless - even impossible - to explain the "technique" to one who has not undergone such a process, for it is not a technique at all, but a manifestation of love.

The consultation of the Akashic Records depends furthermore on the permission granted by the spiritual entities who guard them and who must be assured of the purity of the "travellers" intentions, as well as of their capacity for assimilation. Finally, such research should never be intended to achieve any personal, selfish goal.

The following account takes the readers back some 2000 years to ancient Palestine, into the heart of the Essene community of that time. It is not an easy task to re-live one's own past and in that case, ones's previous life ; nor has it always been pleasant to talk about ourselves as Myriam and Simon, those who experienced and relate the events of the book. In any case, our individualities of the time play only a secondary role in this account.

Through the description of our existence within the Essene Brotherhood, the readers are offered a first hand vision of the personnality and the teachings of Jesus, of his life and those of his disciples.

We are aware that some of the following revelations may surprise or even schock, and we are conscious of the responsability implied by their publication. Nevertheless, the time has come to unveil certain truths.

We do not claim that everything we present here has never been told, nor have we attempted to relate all that we have observed, as certain reveletations did not seem to be appropriate for the present.

We may insist on one point : nothing in our account has been arranged or altered for literary or other purposes. The readers will no doubt be surprised by the quantity of details involved in the descriptions of landscapes, portaits and conversations. Astral memory is characteristically photographic, and it may be that the eyes of the soul are sharper than those of the flesh.

Nothing that we have written is approximative. We have taken great care to relate what we have "seen and heard" ; in cases of conversations, we have taken them word for word.

We would also ti give further details about the reading of the Akashic Records.

The scenes were relived with astonishing accuracy, the words perceived in the language of the time, but understood as if we had a complete mastery of this language. As far as we are concerned, we were so present in this other incarnation, that we encountered emotions and perceptions wich are foreign to our present-day personalities.

Some will take our account for a novel, and others may pass it off as mystical delirium. This matters little. We have written it with our hearts, exactly as we lived it, from day to day for the better part of two years. And we pass it on to your hearts.

Some of you know this already, and time will tell... if time there is !

NOTE : Although book I and III have been more specifically written by Simon/Daniel and book II by Myriam/Anne, most of the scenes described have been relived together.
